I was able to remove the mount without de-installing the mid-rack, so this repair only took about an hour. I welded the broken tab back on, and added a section of ANGLE over the flat tab to provide much more strength. No other damage was done, so all is well.... The lesson to pass along is that these motor mounts DO have to be engineered to take a pretty good twisting moment for accelerations and loads supportng the weight of the motor as you hit bumps and speed humps. |
