I decided to construct a 'drip guard' to attach below my heat sink hood vent to be sure water/rain/snow would be likely NOT to drip right on the motor terminals or into the fan intakes. I had some thin ABS which I lan to use for the bellypan. It is pretty easy to heat form, and/or use ABS cement for fabrication.
